He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Sarah Lucretia Waddell, who he married on 25 SEP 1881 in Adair County, Missouri, USA. Their four known children were Maggie Catherine (1882-1914), Joseph R. (1884-?), Alice (1887-?) and Nannie A. (1890-?).
His second wife was Nancy E. Lackey (mnu), who he married in 1897. The place has not been found. They had no known children.
