Places and Events Extension

This extension generates a report listing all or selected places in your file. For each place, it lists all documented events giving date, event type, and the person or family associated with the event. The events are sorted by date for each place.

When the extension starts, a dialog box appears with the following options:

1. "All Places" - click to get a report on all places in the file.
2. "Currently Selected Place(s)" - if you select one or more places before starting this extension, this option will appear. Click it to get a report on all selected places.
3. "Select One Place" - if no places are currently selected, this option will appear. Click it to pick one place for the report using a record-selection panel,

The final report has all places sorted in alphabetical order. Before the output appears, you are given the option to sort them with "Town First" or "Country First," where country first means to reverse the order of the place hierarchy typically stored in your file.

The events for each place are sorted by date and have a link to the individual for family record associated with that event.

Note

The types of events in the report will be translated to the language currently selected in the settings.
