Write Command

The Write command will append text in all provided arguments to the scripting panel:

Write #1,#2,...

If more that one argument is provided, the evaluated expressions in those arguments will be separated by commas and then appended to the panel output. The command appends text, but does not create a new line. If you want a new line, use the return key word in any expression:

Write "Text to be on its own line"&return

Note that using Unix styles for tabs or line feeds in a string (i.e., "\t" and "\n") does not work, but you can use tab and return keywords instead, such as:

Write "Hi"&tab&"World"&return

instead of "Hi\tWorld\n". Finally, note that if your internal script has any write commands, the scripting panel will remain open after the script is done for the user to see that output. If you want to write informational messages while a script is running but have the panel disappear when the script is done, write those messahes using the NotifyProgress command instead.
