Metje was born about 1595 in Netherlands, the daughter of unknown parents.
Her husband was Andries Grevenraet, who she married in ABT 1615. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Tryntje Andries (c1634-1677), Lysbeth (1616-1687), Chrystintje Andries (c1620->1662), Metje Andries (c1630->1686) and Isaac (c1631-1685).
