Ahnentafel Report Extension

This extension creates an Ahnentafel genealogy report of ancestors for any number of generations (as entered when the extension starts). This type of report uses a special numbering system. Each person is assigned a number. Their father's number is double their number; their mother's number is one more than their father's number.

By default, this extension reproduces the built-in Ahnentafel report in "Reports" menu of GEDitCOM II. If that built-in report does all you need, then there is no need to use this extension. But, if you wished the built-in report could output different information for each ancestor or use a different language, this extension can solve that problem. The process is:

1. Use the GEDitCOM Editor to edit the one script in this extension.
2. The comments at the start of the script explain how to customize the output in some key places to create any style Ahnentafel report.
3. If desired, you could also translate all output lines to convert the report to a language other than English.
